Subject: One Step Closer to Your Tax Cut
On Friday, thanks to your help, the U.S. Senate passed a budget resolution that commits the Senate to major tax relief for the American people.
This happened despite all out pressure from the Democrat leader Tom Daschle who, less than 2 weeks ago, was pushing a one year, one-time-only tax cut of a mere $60 billion instead of the long term commitment to overburdened American taxpayers that President Bush proposed.
Now the question is how much tax relief: Will Congress pass the full tax relief that your family deserves? Will there be enough to repeal the death tax? Will our small businessmen and women receive the tax relief they deserve?
During the April congressional recess, Members of Congress will be listening. They'll be conducting town hall meetings all over the country to ask constituents whether they should pass the President's common sense tax relief plan.
It is urgent that you attend, and that you encourage 5 friends to attend a town hall meeting. Let your Congressman and Senator know that you support the President's full $1.6 trillion in tax relief.
It's your money. It's your tax relief. Make your voice heard.
