Have you contacted Gov. Schwarzenegger about SB 1160? Mexico has...

The following is a report that appeared yesterday in NOTIMEX,

a Mexican publication. (as translated by mexidata.info):

Mexico City — Members of the Assembly of California have asked the Mexican Senate (sic) to beseech Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to sign the bill so that almost 2 million undocumented Mexicans can obtain driver’s licenses that would serve as identification.

After meeting with senators, during a press conference the California legislators said that the proposal is already “on the desk of Governor Schwarzenegger.”

The chairman of the Latino parliamentary group in California’s congress, Marco Antonio Firebaugh, said that the governor “is the one who has the ability to make it law, to give this right to Mexicans, whether they have settled in California or not.”

Can you believe it? Our legislators are lobbying the Mexican government to get involved with the driver's licenses for illegals debate?

This is why it is so very important for us to pass the Save Our License initiative.

We have to put an end to this nonsense, and the Save Our License initiative is a strong start. It will prohibit the government from giving benefits like driver's licenses and in-state college tuition to illegal aliens.

More importantly, it will give California citizens the right to sue the government and the bureaucrats to enforce the law.

Please. We need your help.

First, if you have not already contacted the Governor, do so today and ask him to Veto AB 2895 (the driver's licenses for illegals bill).

His telephone is: 916-445-2841

email: governor@governor.ca.gov.

Second, please make a generous contribution to help our effort.

We are expecting clearance from the Attorney General's office within the next 10 days to begin circulating petitions. As soon as that happens we will be mailing petitions out to everyone who has signed up to help circulate them.

We will also be launching a supplemental paid signature gathering program.

But all of this is expensive, and we truly need your help.

Please take a minute today to send us a contribution of $25, $50, $200 or more. Everything you send will be earmarked 100% to the signature gathering effort.

If you haven't read our initiative, visit our website: SaveOurLicense.com

Thank you very much for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Mike Spence
